CHARLIE HANFORD
"Charlie Hanford, the outfielder who went from Jersey City to Montreal between the seasons of 1910 and 1911, had been with the former for five years beginning in 1906. He was an average hitter while with the Skeeters, and a fair performer in right field, while his baserunning figures were above the ordinary- in only one year did he steal less than 30 bases.
With the Montreal team he has developed greatly, and by the first of July was hitting at a .340 clip. On the Opening Day, Charlie made a single, a double and a triple, and has since been going at the same rate."
